Final Stand
the characters meet their nemesis
  • ambushed by Sith leader and Shadow Academy
  • both Brakiss and Zekk are there…Brakiss fights characters and/or uses Force lightning. Kypp uses force to push Brakiss back…Zekk strikes Kypp (everyone things he is dead).
  • Brakiss drags characters out toward his waiting ship
  • Luke and other Jedi arrive in ships.
  • Brakiss and Zekk escape
  • Characters are rescued and debriefed

Exploring the Temple
the characters enter and explore the Temple

As you enter the Temple you observe a metal corridor extending into the stone interior. This areas seems to be a later addition, but you can tell it is still very old. Dim green lights sputter on as you proceed down the dusty, webby hallway…barely illuminating the way. You finally make it to the what appears to be the entry chamber. Here the air smells different and the lighting from hidden sources around the perimeter has a slight red glow to it. In the middle of the room stands an obelisk about the size of a man. Murals of epic Jedi/Sith battles line the walls. A couple of blind hallways lead to dead ends.

Players must complete puzzle to open the door.

As you descend into the inner sanctum of the temple, a sense of foreboding washes over you (everyone must make make a Difficult Sense roll or take a DSP). You can tell this is a place of great power and evil. You see a square room. The floors along the wall have holes every 3 feet. On the far wall is a raised platform on which rests a black, pyramid shaped device (Sith Holocron). Supported above it on a metal tripod is a red crystal.(Kaiburr crystal) In front of the platform is a pool about 4’ in diameter. It is filled with a red bubbling liquid.

A holographic image of a disembodied head appears. It is an image of Exar Kun. “Beware you who seek my secrets….you do not yet know the power of the darkside”

  • battle the Sith Lord

As soon as the warning is issued, steam jets shoot from the ceiling in the middle of the room, (presumably forcing the characters to back away to the edges) as they do, they must made a moderate dodge roll or be captured by metal 1d4 tentacles that rise out of the holes on the edges. These take a Difficult Strength roll to escape from and cause 3d damage for each round character remains entangled. Meanwhile, beams of red light shoot from the crystal to the Sith Holocron and down to the pool of red liquid. As this happens, Massassi creatures emerge from the pool and attack the characters in hand-to-hand combat.

Through The Jungle
the characters trounce through the jungle and meet somte "natives"

Volcano beetles

Players are walking through jungle and come to a clearing where ground is torn up a bit.
Perception roll for one of characters to surmise it is a runyip wallow.

As players pass by ground trembles (seems like an earth quake) and fire shoots out of the ground
in several locations.
Huge volcano beetles emerge.

They are very one track minded and will simply go toward the nearest player in front of them.
They are hard to cause damage to and if the players simply avoid them or confuse them they can easily outwit them. They bumble about, actually quite comical.

Life in the Academy
the characters get used to their new life in the Academy
  • explore academy. Map of temple.
  • Meet in Great Hall for Luke’s opening speech

Luke welcomes the students and tells the story of the fall of Brakiss.
Also activates a Jedi Holocron (so players know how to use it)

Master Luke: “Each time a new class of recruits joins our ranks, I assign them to a clan. The idea of the clan is to place each student in the best possible circumstances to improve and learn. An instructor will be assigned to your clan and will be responsible for teaching basic lessons in the Force that reinforce the rest of your lessons. I have named the clans after creatures I have encountered in my travels around the galaxy.” After reading out a few other characters assigned to Bantha, Verrmok, and Woolamander clans, the player characters are placed in Wampa Clan.

  • Characters decide what kind of training they pursue in their first week

characters can increase skill of their choice by one pip. Must do so through one of the following Teachers: Battlemaster Kyle Katarn (DEX), Loremaster Tionne (KNW), Flight Instructor Antilles(MEC), Dorsk 82 (TEC), Kirana Ti (STR), Kam Solusar (PER)

Auspicious Arrival
the characters arrive at the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4

After landing and disembarking from the ship you find yoursleves in the huge hangar level of the Great Temple.

There is chaos around you as other Jedi candidates find their gear, workers with repulsor lifts unload cargo, and constructions of all kinds goes on around you.

Suddenly you hear a loud screeching crash of metal on metal and terror-filled screams coming from across the landing bay. As you turn and run to see what has happened, you see a disturbing site:

The harness that was holding a huge air filtration system which was being installed has snapped. Several things must be dealt with quickly by the characters since Master Skywalker, other instructors, and other students are out training:

- injured workers from snapped harness must be moved/cared for (strength / first aid)
- workers in immediate danger of being crushed by unstable device (strength)
- cut off power at the control panel to prevent explosion/fire (technical)
- climb up and reattach harness (dexterity, mechanical, climb)
- control crowd in the area (command, persuade)
- a cargo skiff or loader to move debris out of the way, lift people up to more easily reach the coupling, provide temporary support or catch the coupling if it falls (repulsor lift or ground vehicle operation)
- quickly reprogram a binary load lifter to assist in rescue efforts (droid programming)

Inbound Flight
the characters meet each other on the flight in

As the camera pans down to the surface of a planet, a GR-75 medium transport glides across the screen.

Cut to interior of the ship and 20 or so people of all ages, species, genders, sizes, etc. in an open troop transport area fitted with seats and comfort stations. Some are obviously workers familiar with each other..talking and laughing, etc, but a smaller amount appear more reserved, some even appearing nervous.

A voice comes across the intercom:

“Folks, this is Captain Antilles…I’d like to welcome you on board the Heavy Wind…we are just about ready for the jump into hyperspace…we’ll arrive at our destination in the Yavin system in a few hours. Please sit back and enjoy the journey”

Over the course of the next few hours your characters have a chance to interact with other passengers, walk around the ship, and have access the limited computer systems on the ship.

Please describe your character’s physical appearance for the other players and share any information your character would share in normal conversation during the trip…including any background information. Then tell me what you will be doing during the majority of the trip.

Also, characters meet a humanoid named Tip Falco. He will force himself on the characters and will be very friendly.

….LATER…..

“Folks, this is Captain Antilles again…we’ve just come out of hyperspace and are making our final approach to Yavin 4. Please take your seats. We’ll be landing in a few minutes”

The ship lands on the cleared area outside the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4.
